The Project Management Institute (PMI) has introduced a new course on prompt engineering specifically designed for project managers. This skill involves interacting with AI models, such as ChatGPT, to generate tailored and useful responses for project needs.
The course, titled Talking to AI: Prompt Engineering for Project Managers, is an hour-long, engaging program that teaches effective prompting techniques. It includes video use cases, interactive activities, a community exchange, and a workbook with four learning modules. Topics covered range from basic prompt formulas to advanced prompting techniques and refining undesirable responses.
This course is part of the PMIxAI learning journey, which also includes two other courses: Generative AI Overview for Project Managers and Data Landscape of GenAI for Project Managers. These courses build a foundational understanding of generative AI and its practical applications in project management.
The PMI course is available for free to members and costs $19 for non-members. It is aimed at both beginners and experts in the field, offering resources and a community exchange to support learning and application of prompt engineering in project management.
